Dr. Jon Suter
Dr. Jon M. Suter began his study of ancient Egypt in the 1950s when he encountered C. W. Ceram's GODS, GRAVES AND SCHOLARS and Mika Waltari's THE EGYPTIAN. He was Associate Librarian at East Central University, Ada, Oklahoma, from 1964 through 1984; from 1984 through 2007 he was Director of the Library at Houston Baptist University. In Oklahoma he also taught several courses in library history which included large units on Egyptian libraries; he was also a frequent guest lecturer in art history classes on Egyptian art. At Houston Baptist University he taught and continues to teach courses in undergraduate history and graduate courses on such topics as Egypt, Shakespeare, and even comic books. He also provided numerous guest lectures on Egyptian art and religion. His publications include papers on medieval libraries, spy fiction, and comic books. He has led several tours of England and Europe.

Constantina Michalos

Dr. Michalos joined the HBU faculty in 1995. Dr. Michalos teaches literature courses in:
Renaissance Literature
African-American Literature
Multicultural Literature and Women's Literature
She also teaches a variety of writing courses, including:
Elements of Professional Writing
Writing Across the Disciplines
Life Writing (memoir writing)
Her ongoing research includes work on slave narratives, minority women in fiction and women in Renaissance literature. She recently delivered three papers at different professional conferences across the country: Why Edna Pontellier Does Not Have Daughters; Coerced or Committed: The Conversion Experience of America's Slaves; and Shakespeare's Feminized Friar (recently published in Discoveries in the Renaissance, Spring 2005).
On campus, Dr. Michalos is the faculty adviser of the Rex Fleming Readers, the University Drama Club, and arranges for the annual speaker for Black History Month. She also chairs the administration and grading of the Written English Proficiency Exam as well as being the director of the Writing Specialization Program and coordinator of the COAH Spring Symposium. In addition, she coordinates a Faculty-Staff Book Club and a Student Book Club for the Spiritual Life Program.

Mohamed Nazmy, President
Mohamed was born in Cairo 1955. He attended Cairo University specializing in languages and hotel management. He received a degree in Business Administration from the American University of Cairo. Out of sincere love for Egypt and a desire to share his country with others, Mohamed decided to open his own tour company, Quest Travel in 1996. His years of strong relationship building within the tourism industry gave Mohamed a jump start for his new company. He has been working to promote Egypt Tourism for the past 25 years. Mohamed's philosophy in life is to bring love, peace, light and unity to all people in all countries through outstanding experiences in Egypt.

Emil Shaker ENG, Egyptologist
Emil was born in Luxor 1953 right next to Luxor Temple. Emil graduated from the College of Antiquities at Cairo University. He has guided many spiritual and metaphysical groups in the past 20 years. Emil has had the honor of working with Graham Hancock, Robert Bauval, John West, Marian Williamson, Carolyn Myss, Greg Braden, Kevin Ryerson, Mark Lehner, Kent Weeks and Zahi Hawass. Emil was a personal friend of Omm Setty (Dorothy Eady).

Greg Roach, MFA, F.R.C.
A life long student of comparative religion and spirituality, Greg had a visionary experience of the transcendent unity behind all creation during a pilgrimage to Egypt in 1997. Subsequently, he answered Spirit's call to offer initiatory pilgrimages to like minded souls, building on 10 years of sacred travel in Egypt, the Holy Land, Greece, France, Scotland, America, Bali, Eastern Europe and England. He also podcasts both Meditations for America and Spirit of Place. In the exoteric world, Greg holds an MFA in directing from UH and is a successful entrepreneur and inventor who holds multiple patents. He is a high-level Rosicrucian (Fratre Rosae Crucis), a graduate of the Flower of Life and Earth-Sky training and, most recently, the Science of Mind foundation courses at The Agape International Spiritual Center.
Greg has taught and lectured all over the world at numerous prestigious institutions, including Cambridge University (England), San Francisco State, USC, and the University of Sofia.
